Terms & Conditions

1. The service
SkillGrid connects publishers who post paid tasks with skilled professionals (executors) who complete them. All task budgets are deposited into escrow before a task becomes visible. We operate the platform, the accounting ledger behind it, and the review process; we are not a party to the work relationship between publisher and executor. Learn more about our operating standards on our About Us page.
2. Accounts and verification
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Registration includes identity verification (US driving license) and may include an application review. Accounts can be suspended or banned for policy violations; if that happens, completed-and-approved earnings are settled per Section 6, but access to new work ends.
3. Work, tracking, and payment
Tasks pay per tracked billable hour at the rate stated on the task. Hours are tracked through the platform timer up to the task's maximum billable hours. Submitted work is reviewed by the publisher within the service-level window; approved hours move from escrow to your pending balance. Funds become withdrawable on the disbursement date set by platform operations. You are responsible for your own taxes.
4. Reviews, revisions, and rejection
Publishers approve, request revision, or reject submissions with structured reasons. Rejections can be disputed (Section 5). Deliberately falsifying tracked time, submitting others' work, or fabricating deliverables is fraud and leads to permanent banning plus withholding of funds tied to the fraudulent work.
5. Disputes
If work is rejected unfairly, you may open a dispute within the stated window. Both sides submit evidence; platform arbitration issues a binding decision (executor favored, publisher favored, partial settlement, or no action) and the ledger executes it automatically.
6. Prohibited conduct
No multi-accounting, VPN or proxy use to circumvent country restrictions, false identity data, work outside tracked sessions, off-platform payment arrangements, scraping, or attempts to interfere with ledger integrity. Violations may result in suspension, banning, and reporting to authorities where legally required.
7. Intellectual property
Deliverables transfer to the publisher upon approval unless the task states otherwise. Your CV and profile data remain yours; you grant us the license needed to display them for matching. The SkillGrid platform itself is our property.
8. Liability and changes
The service is provided as-is. Our aggregate liability is capped at the total fees you paid or earned through the platform in the six months before the claim. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before taking effect.
9. Governing terms and data privacy
Platform data practices, user privacy rights, and processing terms are governed by our Privacy Policy.
